Fermentation Crock Commission
This is a Chinese style pickling crock, with an airlock system. It is made out of porcelain and food safe glaze, to ensure that it is durable and safe to use.
It stands approx. 15 inches tall and is approx. 10 inches across at roundest part of the belly. (I was not expecting the crock I made to gain the attention it did, so I'm not entirely sure how much it holds in gallons since we are currently using it. What I do know is it's comfortably holding 14 pounds of cabbage at the moment.)
I am offering three different options for decoration...
The first is as pictured and is the full floral.
The second is the half floral, which means the flowers would only come down halfway on the body of the crock. The lid will stay the same, unless otherwise specified by the customer.
The third option is a smooth body with no florals.
If you choose the smooth body option, I am happy to decorate using glaze, in which case you may choose up to three colors. The two floral options are only offered in a single glaze, although the color is up to you. Please keep in mind that I do not mix my own glazes, and I am limited to what I can buy.
Once you purchase a crock I will email you to finalize the design details. The process of making the crock can take anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks. This is a large form and it takes a lot of time and effort to complete.
Additional shipping fees may be required if the original amount does not cover it. I do not foresee this being an issue, but it is something to be aware of.
